Thank you so much for organizing the CIT part of the DCD Camp to be a fun, informative and wonderful experience for my camper. When he was a camper years ago, he would have a big smile on his face at pick-up, and as a teen CIT at DCD, he had that same smile at pick-up again!

DCD allows the CIT's to fully participate in the program, and not just stand to the side and observe or interact when needed.
Our Activities
At Dedham Country Day Camp, we believe that summer time should reinforce the wonders of being a child, and the enduring joy of friendship. While we offer a broad range of activities from archery to woodworking, we also allow time in each day for the simple enjoyment of catching frogs in the stream, climbing trees and building forts in the pine grove.
DCD Camp Staff
Our experienced counselors range in age from 16-over 60. Though typically college juniors and seniors, our counselor staff includes college graduates, young teachers, and veteran teachers. Most of our counselors have worked their way up in the DCD Camp ranks from being a Counselor-in-Training (rising 10th graders), to being Head Counselors when they are in college.
All DCD Camp Staff members must submit personal references, as well as CORI and SORI screening before being hired. Parents have the right to review our background checks, health care, discipline and grievance procedures upon request. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors are required to be certified by the American Red Cross and have First Aid/CPR/AED training.
Join Our Summer Camp Team
DCDC is currently seeking the following positions:
Life Guard Age 16+, Must be a certified lifeguard, experience preferred but not required.
Counselors Age 16+, Camp experience preferred but not required.
Head Counselor Ages 20+, Camp experience preferred.
Yoga Specialist Must be a certified yoga teacher. Experience teaching children is preferred.
Wood Shop Specialist Age 20+, Experience with Woodworking and working with children a plus but can be trained on the job.
Sports and Games Specialist Age 18+
Drama Specialist Age 18+
Archery Specialist Age 18+, Must be archery level one certified, we will compensate you for the certification.
Arts & Crafts Specialist Age 18+
